Ring Stone, Glass, Minerva, ca. 1st - 3rd Century AD

Glass; 12mm/0.4gm.

Con/ A few minuscule chips, otherwise, about as engraved and polished; translucent aquamarine glass with iridescence.

Description/ Minerva, helmeted, standing right, holding Victory; behind, shield resting on ground and spear.

Provenance/ Collected in the early 1970's near Ephesus, Turkey.

Seller's Note/ Due to the translucence, this is the best photograph we could take, so sorry. See the imprint as it would have appeared used as a signet to seal letters or documents. Very rare in any condition.
