Ave!

Enigmatic Danubian Celt Silver Duck ca. 1st Cent AD

Silver alloy; 20mm/2.5gm

Con/ about As Cast and Engraved; engraved lines and circle and dot patterns on either side.

Seller's Note/ No one really knows the purpose of these charming silver ducks, other the time and the era. The descriptions of the use for these are all over the place, from good luck charms, brooch attachments to hair pin finials. But, as none of these have ever been found actually attached to a hair pin or brooch, or anything else for that matter, their use still remains problematical. The best we can tell you is that these were produced by Danubian Celtic tribes.

Similar items like these are presented on eBay and other sites and tend to sell for $120 per duck. Our price of only $79 is a real deal, trust me.
