Harness, 3-Way Strap Distributor, 1st-3rd Cent, Perfect!

Silvered copper alloy; 36mm/13.2gm

Con/ As Cast and Fabricated from two parts; dark green patina with nearly all the original silvering intact. 

Description/ As mentioned above, the hexagonally and domed-shaped forepart was first cast and then silvered. The interior triangular divider was then cast and the raised feet were either soldered or glued, onto the final completion. 

Ref/ None found in any of our resources!

Seller's Note/ In such sublime condition, this strap distributor is not just rare, but is also in Museum Quality. In the attached line drawing, see #2 as to where this divider would have been applied to connect the three harness straps.WOW!
