Gringgotts #2 is a simple first step coin cleaner. It does get off that first layer of mud, clay or just unkown stuff that coats your coins. It is not a miracle cleaner, none exist in spite of all the claims. But it does rapidly remove or soften hard dirt and clay. It will not be very effective on hard mineral deposits, on acids work there, whether you use vinegar, oliver oil, or whatever, those are acidic and will turn bronze a very odd pink pure copper color. So be very careful. Gringgotts is not acidic, it is safe on all solid metals, except aluminium and the ancients didn't use that. But do not use Gringgotts in aluminium pans, use stainless steel, glass or plastics.
