Silver Plated; 3.6gm/18.2mm    Rome 158-159 AD

Con/ Small strike crack and minor weakness on the reverse, otherwise, Very Fine.

Obv/ ANTONINVS AVG PIVS P P TR P XXII; laureate head right.

Rev/ TEMPLVM DIV AVG REST; Octastyle temple, in which are seated figures of Divus Augustus & Livia. Acroteria above and to either side.

Ref/ RIC Vol III 290a, RSC 804. Scarce issue!

Seller' Note/ This silver plated issue is a contemporary forgery and a very good one. The acroteria, as mentioned above, is just a fancy way of saying 'free standing statues' in just one word. LOL!
