Strap End, Amphora, Wrap-Around Top, c. 4th Cent, WOW!

Copper alloy; 47mm/10.5gm   Silver adornment; 13mm/0.5gm

Con/ Missing two adornments, otherwise, As Cast and Fabricated. Dark green patina with residual traces of Roman solder.

Ref/ A&L SL13.31 var. (None like this found in any of our resources!)

Seller's Note/ Upon arrival, the strap end and the silver adornment were inside a small bag, both dirt-encrusted and in need of further cleaning. When I asked inquired with our provider, he explained that when found, the silver adornment was still lightly attached, but after removal became separated from the strap end.
