Seller's Note/ This Roman strap junction features a popular and well known decorative openwork style design of four peltas. Such bronze fittings were used in the horse's harness to connect, divide, or reinforce crossing leather straps. These junctions were a critical, structural and decorative, component for the Roman cavalryman's equipment.
