Seller's Note/ This is truly a magnificent example of this rare issue, but why is the serpent entwined alter depicted on the reverse? It is clearly a reference to Salus, of course, because Salus was the Roman goddess of safety, health, and welfare, representing both individual well-being and the prosperity of the state.
