Con/ Perfectly centered and struck with fresh dies; a wonderful example with a crisp portrait of the empress and a very sharp reverse. Good Very Fine.

Obv/ OTACIL SEVERA AVG; Diademed and draped bust right, set on crescent.

Rev/ CONCORDIA AVGGConcordia seated left, holding patera over an altar and cornucopia.

Seller's Note/ Wife of Philip I, Marcia OtacilIa Severa became empress after the death of Gordian III, many suspecting her hand in his potential murder. Together they had one son, Philip II, who would later co-rule with his father.
